Life After Utopia

Life After Utopia, asks participants to locate their formative stories, experiences or important places tied to the city’s fabric. We will attach these stories to balloons, raising them in celebration and remembrance for the places that were, are, and will be.

Participants over the days can wander through this floating maze of memories and explore what can be found beyond a rapidly changing and increasingly unrecognizable downtown core. We hope to develop a sense of place that is not chained down by what's new and shiny, but instead, by the stories, experiences and memories.
